Poetry Experiment: The Essence

Tangled up in the essence of life,

trying to hold on to the long, lost memories.

The ancient wonders of the world,

need to be kept safe, secret.

In this place of tranquil peace,

shrouded by a darker force.

Within the withered, broken dreams,

there remains a spark of hope.

The outside is slowly crumbling,

but there is a magic about.

You cannot see it, but it takes hold,

in the heart and mind.

There is something bigger at work,

in this forgotten space.

It must be protected, hidden,

or life will cease to be.
