Poetry Experiment: Crashing Down

Crashing Down

The weight is heavy, suffocating

and there is no release.

Time to drown out the sorrow,

and accept the dismal fate.

Mountain’s cannot be moved,

it’s too late to believe,

in something that will never come,

never meant to be.

Close the heart, close the mind,

become one made of stone.

Nothing can penetrate the dead,

the lost, the alone.

No hope, no light, only pain,

trapped beneath the surface.

From the outside, all looks fine,

but inside there is nothing,

only empty darkness.

Crash down, let it fall,

there is nothing more left.
