I have been participating in this years National Novel Writing Month. It has been quite the experience so far. Half way done and I have written 22,463 words. Not bad for starting with a blank page.
Something I have taken away from this experience is that you just need to keep writing, no matter what the day brings. Set aside time to create and put those words together to form some sort of masterpiece. Even if it’s only 500 words, it all counts towards something bigger. If you don’t try, you’ll never know just how far you can go.
With how chaotic life can get sometimes, it’s nice knowing that there is one thing you can always have complete control over, the stories, characters and world’s you have created. You are able to shape them to however you see fit. It’s a nice break and get away from the mundane tasks of every day life.
So please, keep pushing yourself forward. Keep writing. Keep dreaming, and bring all your creations to life! Whether it be a novel, a poem or any other artistic endeavour. You have something brilliant to offer the world!
Here’s to another 30,000 words or more!
